Hello Friends of the Arts and Artists!
You've probably noticed a few changes to Pagosa Springs Arts Council over the past several months...
After surveys, discussions with members, and discussions amongst the board we've realized that the Pagosa Arts Scene has several needs:
An Arts Hub
More Arts Events & Classes
More Opportunities for Artists
We're dedicated to finding solutions for these needs, which has lead us into the next chapter of the Pagosa Springs Arts Council:
The arts are a powerful force in our community - forming connections, opening doors, and enriching life experiences. Pagosa Arts Initiative is committed to supporting and promoting the arts - ALL ARTS - in Pagosa Springs.
What does that mean for our members and community?
A New Arts Hub
We want to see our arts community grow and thrive, but we realize that a vision for a strong community requires a central hub that brings together artists and art lovers of all kinds.
We're excited to announce that we've found a perfect place to call home!
262 Pagosa St. #103
Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
Located next door to Cindy Houston Pilates and across the parking lot from Riff Raff.
Why the new location?
We're now in the heart of downtown Pagosa- an area with heavy foot-traffic and tourism. More movement = more eyes on our artists and the talent of Pagosa Springs.
Our new hub also offers space to host a multitude of exhibits, events and classes.
Which leads us into our next dedication:
More Arts Events & Classes
With the optimism that things must eventually return to normal, we're expecting to start opening our space up to local artists interested in hosting classes to the community. More community engagement and artist opportunities ultimately lead to an expansion of the arts within our community.
Additionally, given our new location and traffic within the area, we expect to host more exhibits and showcases for our members. So stay tuned for details to come.
Opportunities for Artists
Classes and exhibits present opportunities for our members, but we're also aiming high with more public arts installations and business partnerships. Given today's economic climate, we know we have some obstacles ahead- this isn't stopping us.
Beginning with our Mural Project on the side of Goodmans.
